Irony aside, Corona was actually the reason Jesse Faen was down at the beach early this past weekend, motivated to surf. The cerveza giant sponsored the inaugural Stand Up Paddle demonstration during finals day of the US Open of Surfing at Huntington, with Surftech supplying equipment and selecting the invitees. Along with pro surfers Lisa Anderson, Pat O'Connell, Timmy Reyes, Noah Shimabukuro, Kala Alexander, and legend Mickey Munoz, the crew enjoyed a 45-minute session in solid HB surf, and gave the tens of thousands of spectators something new to check out.
